Starting Fresh!

This week I have had two kind reminders to post on my blog, so here goes....
I had an amazing day in American Fork Canyon! Wes wanted to go for a ride and check out Tibble Fork Reservoir in AFC. It was a nice day so I agreed but didn't pay too much attention to the snowshoes and other gear he put into the back of the SUV. We enjoyed the ride up into the canyon...everything was covered in beautiful sparkling snow and the higher we got the more breathtaking the scenery became. Parking was limited at the reservoir because it seemed like everyone had the same idea about spending time in the mountains. I was glad Wes had put my hiking boots in the car because it was a little slushy and slippery in the parking lot. We set out on a hike and although the snow was compact there were some very deep mounds that freaked me out. At this point Wes made his move and said "wouldn't you feel safer with snowshoes on?" He has been trying for two winters to get me to go snowshoeing with him. I caved in and agreed that it might be a good idea so he hiked all the way back to the car and came back with snowshoes for both of us plus those pole thingies that are amazing at keeping awkward people (like me) from slipping and sliding all over the place. We had a really nice hike and took a few pictures that I would love to post but someone needs to help me with that...where are my 12 year old grand daughters when I need them? Whoops they are 13 year olds now...sorry Carlie and Brooke!
I owe my nice day up in the mountains to Excedrin Back and Body plus a couple of Advil. Oh, and thanks Wes for waiting so patiently for me to agree to try snowshoeing. If I can get up in the morning without feeling like a snow mobile ran me over, who knows....maybe I'll go again. Next year.

  1. Loved the post! Keep em coming.

Adding pictures is super easy. When you go to create post just click on the picture icon and then browse which picture you want to upload. (I like to save my pictures for blogs to the desktop so they are easy to find when I browse) You will be asked if you want the picture centered, to the right, or to the left, as well as how big you want them. You can add multiple pics to a post by selecting add new image and then browsing to find the next picture. I think you'll find it very user friendly. Good luck! You can do it!
